About The Chrome Moldings..

hi i just purchased a 2005 SL with all package including gold lettings..(i didnt want it but was mistaken ordered) i got it for 32200. i will be getting the car tomorow morning.but today i saw a black maxi dont know if it was a SE or SL but it looks chromed outt by the windows and roof side moldings..i was wondering if that is included inn any package or was it after market..and another question is was are the difference between the 2005 and the 2004 models.did any of the navi change or any keyless starter?comments plz..

You said 'gold lettings'. Do you mean gold letters? I thought that was a 'dealer add' option. Nissan does not mention a 'gold' option in any 6th gen publication I have seen.

As to the window molding, both the SE and the SL have shiny BLACK paint around the side windows, no matter what color the car may be. No Nissan option changes this.

As to the roof moldings, there is a chrome strip running along each edge of the roof from the bottom of the front windshield to the bottom of the back window. These chrome strips are on every 6th gen from base to 'maxed' out. No Nissan option changes this.

No major changes 'tween the '04 and '05. No keyless starter.

Considering that I paid $30.5 (including rebate) for my 2005 SL fully loaded except the Elite package. I think you've paid about $1500 too much.

i paid 28,600 for my se loaded so i for sure think you are paying too much....but its really not so bad..that is about the sicker ...no?
