What color would you like to see next...
Nissan is constantly updating their color choices on their cars, I was wondering if there is a particular color you would like to see the max available in... I personally wish they brought ember back... What color do you guys want to see?

Edify11.....bright yellow? Really? There are only a few cars that can pull that color off and look right. Vette, Porsche.....can anyone photoshop a bright yellow Maxima for us? Curious, but might make me think of a taxi.

max'n - the spirited bronze Nissan has used for two years on the gen 6 Maxima is the nicest bronze I have ever seen. If I were Nissan, I would not be adding another bronze; it couldn't be as nice as the one they have.
As for me, since the champagne mist was dropped (for '05), and coral sand and smoke were added (in February of '04), I'm not sure there is a color I would like any better than the nine we have. Should Nissan decide to add/replace one, here are possible choices that come to my mind:
A subdued and subtle dusty sage might sell among more conservative Maxima drivers. Probably should be limited to the SL (just as the current Maxima grille should have been limited to the SL; the SE demands either a more stylish grill, or a more agressive, sporty grille).
Like Carcas, I feel a deep pearl looks very good on an upscale sedan.
Yellow has been THE hot color of late. But only on small cars. Yellow, orange, purple and fire engine red are garish on large cars.
Here is where I may step on some (current owners of burnt embers) toes; I feel, if Nissan decides not to apply the '25th anniversary' designation to all '06 Maximas, then the special '06 version that IS so designated should all be 'burnt ember', a color first made famous on the very early Zs. I guarantee such a car would sell.
I feel Nissan has done a superb job of choosing just the right hue of each color on the Maxima palette.
As idnumber1 said in starting this post, we know Nissan will change a color or two for '06. I will be very interested in seeing what the changes are.

I know it would stand out, but a deep green, if you're a college football person you know the green I'm referring to on the University of Oregon helmets... The glistening will be a gold/yellow when the sun hits it. I dunno, might be way too flashy for that kind of car, but I love that Oregon color.

I have the (darkish) smoke and I think it is really excellent. Looks great with dark tinted windows, and offset lighter colored wheels (such as the stock, or chrome). The Pewter is also A-1. Personally, I am really sick of the light greys and now common silvers (sorry silver owners), although they hide the dirt well. I really like black, but based on previous experience, they take a hell of a lot of effort to keep clean, and I just don't have that kind of time anymore.
I am also really getting sick of every manufacturer putting out the same 6 base colors - I prefer the unique or different. Skoda did a great job at using unique colors when they were around in N.A. a few years ago, but that was due to the fact that it was the only paint they could afford (was probably overstocked house paint).
Nissan has been working hard at standing out with vehicle design and some colors, so I am going to go out on a limb quite a bit here....
1. Soft baby blue, like some of the 60s stangs had.
2. The 'aqua marine" like color Honda put out on the 90-93 Accords.
3. A copper color such as on the 350Z (Le mans Sunset) - awesome.
4. A color like the new Stang windveil blue.

I personally love the "Diamond Graphite" color on the G35's. I would love to see this on the new Max. This definetely will be the color of choice for my next car (maybe a G35 coupe).

Reading this thread brings back a thought I had when the 6th gen first came out; The 6th gen silver, although very nice, somehow seems to me to not be quite as attractive as the 5th gen silver, which had a deeper, stronger appearance. At least, that is my impression.

In regard to a couple of previous posts: Le Mans Sunset on the 350Z = Radiant Ember on the Max
Caribbean Blue on the G35 = Crystal Blue on the Alti and since the color was discontinued on both, I doubt we'll ever see it on a 6th gen. But I'd really love to see a Max in that new Lakeshore Slate on '05 Gs.
