Sad News, Maybe Selling The Max

I am woking on a deal with the nissan dealer now. I am trying to get into a Murano for my wife to be. She needs a truck and her lease is almost up. I will be driving her car around (corrolla) till march Oh well here comes my bimmer by next summer. It's bitter sweet. I will let you guys know how it goes. By the way even after all the problems I had, I love my max.

What can the Murano carry that the maxima cannot?? I'd hate to see you take a dump on the resale. Especially when it's not needed.

She don't like my maxima. She wants the Murano so she will get it. When children are involved its a whole different ballgame. Plus this will be good for me because in march I will get my 540i.. Can't wait.

Okay. Just so she knows you guys will lose 3-4 thousand dollars because she doesn't like the maxima. I don't think the Murano can hold any more children than the maxima. But it might be a perceived safety issue about having a bigger/taller car.

I agree with you.. I really don't care about the loss though. The Murano is also AWD and my car flat out stinks in the snow. We have harsh weather here. I am not really losing anything on the car because I got my last car for an amazing deal and when it got stolen insurance gave me more then I could have ever imagined.

Although you'll lose some performance, the Murano is a VERY nice SUV. I've driven it several times and can say that it handles like a sports sedan and better than most SUVs (exc. Cayenne and FX), has A LOT more interior space than the body style betrays and has good midrange power. The only thing I didnt like about it is that it's a bit sluggish on the low end but, that might be because of the CVT.

If I were to trade up from my 02 Maxima to another Nissan (non-Infiniti), the Murano is tops on my list. Keep your head up 04MAXSE, this is not a step down IMHO.

I wish you the best with your new Murano, I really do. Please check out their forums though if you haven't done so already. They are having alternator failure problems. Just want to make sure you are aware of it because we all know the dealer sure isn't going to share this info with you. I wouldn't want your wife and kid (s) to be stranded somewhere in the snow. Good luck to you.

Hopefully you got some equity in the Maxima or the as* pain is coming. Used ones loaded are now going cheap as hell for a 04 Max SE. I am in the hole like mad on mine. I think if I was to trade in my 04....22K trade in value, would loose thousands. Hopefully it works out for you. I am keeping this car till it is paid off. Done forever buying new cars.

04MaxSE;
Sorry to hear your trade did not work out for you, at least you still have a great car.
