Injen intake busted . . . again!

Just found out my Injen CAI busted again, only this time with a big hole in it. Last time it was a broken bracket, now a hole! I'm taking it off this week and putting my stock back in, then in the spring, I'll probably get another intake. Any suggestions on a better intake?

Stock isnt really a bad intake at all. Probably just in my head but ive had the stcok intake, Injen, Berk, and now im running a combo of stock and Berk...lol. Ive read a lot around the 5th gen forum and many people just run GABs for the best performance. I Also know for a fact that the time I ran a 14.3 was with my stock intake. I removed the resonator in the fender and the front scoop piece that sits on TOP of the radiator( this makes the scoop piece very hot and im sure thats not good. Anyways im not running a berk midpipe with the stock airbox and K&N drop in. I can go into detail on what I noticed with all these setups but most people say the but dyno is not reliable and an intake is an intake. Anyways im happy with my setup right now. Hopefully I can at least match that stock run of 14.3 or beat it once I get some new tires.

How's the Berk intake? I really like the deep tone that the Injen makes but hate CAI's! Is the Berk comparable in sound? Are there any others?

Whatever you do, don't buy an Injen! They suck! So far, looks like I'm leaning towards a Berk. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Some of the very early production Injens' did indeed have that problem. The mounting bracket would tear out of the pipe. I haven't heard of anyone having troubles with that sort of thing for quite some time, until now.

I wasn't going to say anything but I have the same problem with my AEM CAI. I inspected it a week ago and found a hole right at the opening to the front wheel well. The little rubber cushion they provide for the opening was slightly off and there was metal(CAI pipe) to metal(opening) contact. AEM said they would cover it.
