Ok guys good news! We will be able to sell the 2nd part only for those of you with the other STS installed. It will most likely be about 3-4 weeks before we have them in stock, as we have to make a seperate batch to accomodate you folks. As for pricing, I have nothing finalized at this time, but I do promise that it will be very reasonable.
For those of you that would like the 2nd piece, please make sure and e-mail me at dave@activetuning.com and have me add you to my list of people. This will give me a better idea of the numbers we need, plus it will keep you in the loop of what's going on on our end.
If anybody has any questions, ask away.

I don't think there is enough demand for us to even do the 2nd part
I have just a couple people that asked me about it.
You guys can change that though...if you need the 2nd part only, please e-mail me and let me know if you haven't already.

Can ya hold it for me if I say that I will buy it today (Friday)?
thanks.
Good evening,
Just got my shifter in and have no luck with the install. Cannot seem to get the transmission piece adjusted properly. It seems that you have had no problem. Can you give me any advice? The kit came from Active Tuning for 05 Max.
Thanks for any and all help you can give.

Does anyone with a short shifter installed have a build date of 08/04? build #800947
I have been talking with Steve Watkins (fast-shift.com) to figure out why the STS does not fit on the transmission lever. After reviewing some pics I sent; he came to the conclusion that the actual transmission lever is not the same as the one he modeled the STS after. Mine is not (zinc?) plated and appears to be plain cast iron. The significant difference is in the dimensions of the piece. O.C. dimensions from the mounting post to center of an OEM transmission lever is 67mm; mine is 55mm. With the STS installed on an OEM lever the distance changes to 49mm, hence the shorter shifts (37% shorter). Because mine is 55mm the distance is too small to fit the piece through and that's why it doesn't fit/work properly. The good news is that I already have 22% redux with the 'stock' piece.
Has anyone else experienced this problem; or anything related to this? I am not replacing the trans. lever; that would be stupid and cost around $275 for an additional 15% gain.

BTW, my serial number is 819449
I have the 04' Auto and heard that the 05 has a shorter throw on its "tiptronic" style shift. The 04' has got such a long distance to cover with the tap shift that it you almost have to move your elbow if it is resting on the armrest. Anybody know if there is a way to change this out with the 05' version?

Nothing, it just doesnt work on the cars with the smaller tranny lever. The parts that sits on the tranny where teh second part gets installed (STS part goes on top). Anywhoo, Nissan changed the design to shorten the throws by 22% after many bad reviews of the 6sp cog box.
The tranny piece went from 67mm to 55mm and the STS was designed for the 67mm part.
Sorry to burst your bubble bro no go though......

A ruler.
Anywhoo, measure from the bell housing of the piece (left side of the round part to the right edge of the switch). Basically if its bronze looking then no go.....

Axxtion 55mm and 67mm STS
Nissan has 2 different transmission mounted shifter levers installed on the tranny where the shifter cable attaches and is found underneath the airbox. One is 67mm between the center of rotation and the post holding the cable, while the other is 55mm between the center of rotation and the post holding the cable. Axxtion is the only one who builds a Short Throw Shifter for the 55mm transmission lever. There is also an Axxtion Short Throw Shifter that will fit the 67mm tranny shifter.
