Grill Warranty???

I noticed bubbles on my stock 04 grill. Do the grills have a lifetime warranty? Would like to know before I take it in to get fixed.

3/36 bumper to bumper warranty would cover the grill. No lifetime on that. Hope you are under 36,000 miles.

Thanks for that info. JSmithole did they give you the old grill back? I would like to have my old grill back incase this happens again after the warranty is up. My current grill looks pretty good but I want it to be in excellent condition. Thanks again.

They should give you the old part if you ask for it.

I meant to ask them but totally forgot. I wonder if I can still go down there and get it?

Normally, if it is a warranty item, they want the old part. Went through the same thing with my broken shift ****. They even wanted the old nibs back after the glove box fix. I imagine they send them back to Nissan......why....to salvage the parts? I always wondered that.

They keep certain warranty items because Nissan audits warranty claims to keep the dealers honest. The max grill is an insignificant warranty item and does not cost much.

At a minimum you could ask the dealer to give it to you after the 30 day warranty audit requirement is met. If after 30 days Nissan does not ask for the part, the dealer just throws it away. You could ask them to put a post it not on it with your name and they could keep it for you.

I am quite familiar with the process as I used to be a factory rep for Nissan.

You never know when another grill might come in handy. I could damage my new grill somehow after the warranty expires and then switch it out since I had the spare. You never know.

This makes absolute sense... Gotta love those audits...
The only reason i'd probably keep the original grill is becuase i'd probably modify it or paint it or do something crafty with it...
