From what I have been reading for the last two months the 04' had many issues. Struts, tires, skyview roof just to name a few. I can tell you my 05' is SOLID! 3000 miles and no problems at all!

Yeah, I agree with NIKV69, there's no problems with my 05 so far (knock on wood). And for some reason, it seems to drive a lot better than my old 04.

I traded in my 04 about 2 weeks ago and got the 05 fully loaded except for the Elite package and so far, so good. I was having so much trouble with my 04 that I couldn't take it anymore. I was even about to go with an Acura but after reading the post about 05's, I decided to stay with the Max. I really have to say that I am truly happy that I stayed with the Max. Plus, the Nav and VDC makes a huge difference too.

Hopes this helps!

From what my friend who owns a dealership said, the 05' is a much a improved car over the 04'. I am glad! I would be pulling my hair out if these things were happening to mine!

Finacially, I can't see you trading it in. I know I can't see myself doing it. My car is worth roughly 24-25k on a trade according to KBB and I owe 19k. that's what, 6k I can put down on an '05 give or take. I'll never get the deal I got with my '04 so I can't see it. Put it this way, she stickered for 33k, I put down 5k and walked out financing 20k. hehe you do the math. By the way, my trade in was nothing, they paid it off. This is the deal you get when you threaten to call the BBB.
