Don't take off the bumper. The instructions say you have to, but you don't.
You need to get access to behind the wheel well liner to install the cone filter. This can be accomplished by removing the wheel well liner, and turning the wheel inwards. The first time I did it, I took off the wheel entirely, and the wheel well liner. The second time I went in there. I just undid the wheel well liner a bit at the front, and turned the wheel in.
There is a resonator that is inside that area. I would suggest for the install you remove the wheel well liner entirely, and the wheel. Then when you go in to clean the filter in 20,000 miles don't bother taking anything completely off.
And WTF are you paying a shop to do that for? Do it yourself man. Its like a 2/5 in terms of complexity. All you need are some screwdrivers and maybe a 10mm wrench.

When i did mine, I pulled just the driver side bumper out a little. Drop the 2 screws that you can see once you pull the liner out a little. Once I dropped those 2 screws and moved the bumper a bit I had real good access to everything needed. Install didn't take very long at all.
Just make sure you leave room in the hose connectors for flex. You don't want the parts to butt up against one another and wear inside the intake. Leave a small bit of space between each one so the whole unit can flex as the engine rocks on the mounts under load.
