Will a 5th gen SE 17 fit on a 6th gen?

Hey guys,
Wanted to see if anyone had put the 5th gen SE 17" rims on a 6th gen. I am retrofitting some 6th gen rotors/calipers onto my 5th gen soon, and want to make sure the rotors/calipers will clear my stock rims (used in the winter).

btw, I am already running 6th gen rotors with 5th gen (smaller) calipers, so I know the rotors will clear.

thanks!

They should fit. I use a 17" steel rim for winter wheels.

exactly....I know the 6th gen SL comes with 17's, but I believe they are a different offset (35mm) than the 5th gen SE 17's (45mm)......that's why I want to know. A centimeter can mean alot wrt brakes/wheels!

maybe I can get one of the 5th gen guys to try the idea out at the RI meet..

Tek-niq....don't worry about it...I'm pretty sure I'll be ok. Just wanted to see if anyone had tried it, but not worth you playing with wheels out in the cold!

Will a 17x7.5 wheel with a 45mm offset (from a newer G35) with a 225/55/17 tire fit a 2004 Maxima ? I currenly have 18x8 245/45/18 and they look great but the ride it too stiff and Im thinking about getting a smaller wheel/bigger sidewall.
