6th Gen Firewall

Has anybody ran a 4 gauge power lead through the firewall? Did you need to drill or is there a grommet somewhere?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Just want to know all the facts before I begin my installation. Trying to make it as trouble free a possilbe.

if you have an auto...drill to the left of the brake pedal. look under there. you will see an area cut out of the padding. i just did this about 4 days ago. i searched high & low for a grommet. drilling took me 2 minutes.

Yes, I have a auto.

I will give it a try and post pics when I'm done.

Thanks!

What did you install? How did it turn out? Do you have pics?

You don't have to drill a hole, just behind the glove box is a groumet. You can poke a hole in that. That's what i did, i installed the pac convertor, 2 diamond audio 12's and dei's viper 1200.1 amp. I'll take some pics tomorrow for ya.

Hopefully you can see this. That black harness at the top of the pic is right behind the glove box. There is plenty of room on that groumet to run what ever size wire you want for your amp.

This pic is in the hood, the harness is to your left where the wire comes out.

This is a pic of the subs
