paint lower grille?

See the attached image.
Are you guys painting this? Most I see are black in that valance area and on my white; would look a lot better if body colored.

My 04' Max is white also, I am currenlty having the grill painted body color (should have this back in a couple of days) I am also thinking about having the lower valance painted body color, does anyone know if this can be done on the car? or do they have to remove the bumper to do it properly? I am going to check with my paint shop when I p/u my grill to see how much they would charge to paint this. I will let you know!

My body shop guy painted my lower grille for $125 and he didn't have to remove anything, looks great that way.

that pics looks like it was chopped from one of my posts. IMO it definetly makes the max (non black max's) much more appealing. When i see stock maxes on the road, i'm happy i got it painted, makes it also look my stream line. People would see the front end and say<, " Thats a nice altima u got!"

Yeah, saw that pic on cardomain.
Well damn, there goes more $$. Gotta do it. Just ordered the grill yesterday (see akaxmrxhammer's ride above) the black lower valance just isn't gonna cut it. That brings the total to nearly a grand in the first week .

That looks great. If I ever need to get my bumper repainted, I'm getting the lower grill done at the same time. IT probably won't even cost any more at the same time really.

My guy filled in the holes in the spoiler, repainted the spoiler, painted the lower grille and the license bracket (front) for 65$. Nothing needs to be removed except the bracket if you choose to do that.

I'd have the turning lights, and licence plate holder removed to make it easier to do a good job. No sense in being sloppy. Heck it would only take an hour in your driveway to get rid of those before you brought it to the shop so it wouldn't cost you any more.

LOL... andymax95, chill out man. first of all, i didn't bite it off your ride. i got it painted second week i had my car. my mom backed into it with her expedition and i had to get my bumper, grille, and my hood replaced. that's when i got my bumper painted. if you were the first one to paint it, then props to you. isn't this the reason why we log on to maxima.org? get ideas and opinions from other org members to make your max looking and running better?

I absolutely want to get this done to my lower grill. I decided I didn't like the black valence on my Silver SE about 3 weeks after I had it but one local body shop told me that paint wouldn't stick to it, so I kinda dropped it and started looking at the Sarona kit or something like that.

But this past Friday I was checking on getting the windows tinted and the guy said he knew someone who could get it painted, no problem. I think I believe him because I painted the black license plate holder silver with a can a spray paint from Ace Hardware. It looks like the same material and the paint is sticking just fin.

As soon as I get the valence painted silver, I am getting clear bra on the lower part of the bumper. Already have it on the hood, fenders, headlights and mirrors.
