I heard a huge thump sound from under the car a few days ago while making a u-turn. It was dark and didn't know what I went over. Well the problem is..my max which had an avg mpg of a little bit over 20 is now 14-15.
I was wondering if anybody knows any reason to why this might have happened. I don't see any gas leakage or anything..hELP!

I agree with the post here about taking your car in to the dealer for a check.

I keep good gasoline purchase records. With 28 K miles on my Max, I get between 22.0 and 22.5 mpg driving around town with an average speed of 22 mph. Your computer will provide you with both mpg and mph values. If my average speed goes up, so does my mileage. The best I've gotten (in all those miles) was 30.9 mpg at an average speed of 67 mph. (I believe I had a tail wind on this segment). On the interstate, I believe I could get about 32 mpg if I cruised at about 55 mph, but that is way to slow for me. I typically cruise at 5 to 8 mph over the speed limit.
