I just picked up my new Maxima w/ the free trial of Sirius.Problem is I can't get it to tune to the individual stations. When I try and scroll through the channels it just tunes the heading channels. (SR001, SR015, SR0..) Anyone have any ideas?

 

Sounds like the service hasn't been activiated. You mentioned free trial...did the dealer activate it?

You have to turn it on for several minutes, and then tune to channel 184, then get Sirius to activiate it.

 

That's it in a nutshell. I had the same thing happening when I picked up mine. Just give them a call.

 

Also...you will need (or whoever calls Sirius will need) the serial number off of the tuner unit. It should be on the paperwork somewhere that came with the car/tuner.

Or...you could crawl into the trunk with a flashlight and a magnifying glass and read it off the unit.
