Someone PLEASE post ACTUAL DYNO CHARTS of their intake/catback/Y-not exhaust/toaster oven mods...
The "for sure dude, it's faster" stuff is soooooo weak. There are so many people throwing money down the toliet on these wannabe ricer "mods", let's see some real numbers.
Put-up or shut-up.

Again, just my 2 cents.....flame suit on. God, why am I going back to this subjet again.....ex LS1 guy.....mods did not work on them well either.

Most is just SOTP that does not cut it for me. Just my 2 cents. There is no magic bullet for this engine. Not a muscle car, but sucking intake and loud exhaust can make some people feel the car is faster....placebo effect.

I agree. Modern engines are so finely tuned and controlled that most things short of major internal work wont get you much of any difference. Things like changing to more aggresive cams and the like will get good power at the expense of idle quality and MPG. A good chip/ecu flash will get a small worthwhile gain on some engines by gaining a little power at the expense of emissions performance, but these are mostly effective on engines programmed to run 87 only from the factory as they (chip) will also use more advanced timing to take advantage of premium fuel. Intake/exhaust combo can be effective if you go as far as far as getting rid of the cats (which are usually the biggest restriction) and straight flow mufflers, but at the expense of emissions again and being too loud, as well as loosing low/mid torque due to lack of back pressure. It's just not as easy as it used to be back when engines were so generically designed and not finely controlled by a comprehensive ECU.
And carcus, ex mustang guy here.

But I agree with you though... some people will never dyno the car and go with the myth that "mod x + mod y = # hp gain", when in fact they're still running real close to stock. Some of the mods DO make sense and they seem to give the car more "kick", but you never know what exactly is going on until you get the car on the drums. The lighter UDP is a good example though... most people say the car "feels" like it revs quicker -- and it probably does -- doesn't mean you're putting an extra 25hp at the wheels...

Now where is SSR with that supercharger?

Your dyno's look good - much higher numbers than mine and what I have seen posted. So I'm not sure what you seem to be complaining about... $200 for a dyno run and a FREE y pipe is cheap - seems like a great deal...

As far as saying it was expensive, i was agreeing with the post above. I got it free because they protyped it on my car for about a year. But yeah it was a great deal, can't deny that.
OK that makes sense - $200 for a dyno does seem high. I only paid $100 for my 3 runs - although I wasnt too happy with mine. They wouldnt run my car up to redline on the dyno because of liability. My next dyno will be done somewhere else. Definitely wanna get mine checked again with the new mod (U/O pulley) I also meant your number are very high - much higher than mine or others. I doubt anyone has dyno's that high unless they have the same mods as you do.
I might have to get the Y pipe but am worried about emissions and if my dealership will put it on

No hard feelings just wanted to clear up my confusion. And it was supposed to be $150 per run, but i got them to reduce the price to $100 per. But i had two runs, before & after, so yeah $200 in total. I go to the dealership on thursday for service so we'll see if they say anything about the Y-Pipe and now intake.

I can understand $200 for a few... $150 (or even $100) a pull seems kinda pricey. But it does reinforce the point made earlier... people usually don't go dyno their car after every mod, because it's so expensive.
Good luck with the dealership, hopefully they won't give you a hard time (if they even notice
).
