Just got a 05 Maxima SL - Question about floor mats...
Hey Everyone,
I just got my 05 Maxima SL White with Frost Interior and I was wondering what type of floor mats are you all using? I was thinking of getting all-season mats for the car and was wondering where's the best place to get them. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

http://www.courtesyparts.com/ go to 2004-2005 maxima then hit interior, they got rubber floor mats in there..
I was looking at the rubber mats at the dealer but they only come in one color, right? like a dark grey color?
Since I have the frost interior, they would stand out a little to much for me. I was looking at www.weathertech.com (you know, the company that advertises in Car & Driver, etc), and they have some nice grey ones for the Maxima. Only thing is the price for the set of 4 - like $99. Kinda pricey.

I use the Pant Saver brand of mats for Winter weather. The border on these fits perfectly over the hook on the drivers side to hold it in place (and they are as good a fit as your going to get over the carpet). For places that get alot of snow, I would recommend these or other rubber mats which have a high water holding capacity over the Nissan mats (and you can pick from some colors).
I got tired of messing with mine... used the latte mats until they cried uncle then I threw them out and put rubber mats in for the winter. Now when it gets nice again I'll grab a new set of mats and call it a day.
Cleaning mats is probably the hardest thing to do outside of messing with the engine bay (or the wheel well, if you're **** about your car
). It's just not worth it IMO... I used to wash them every now and then but they just absorb too much crap and never go back to "factory clean" -- so I figured get new mats and stop messing with it. Yeah it's expensive, but at least it looks clean.

What I did this past winter was just use white towels and, in addition to tapping my feet before getting into the car, I shook out or washed to towels as needed. It has worked well and my original mats still look great (except I am getting a slight wear spot under the accelerator pedal from my right foot/heel).
Thanks for replies. At first I was going to get rubber mats but I decided to get some carpet mats to go over the ones that came with the Max. I just got them at Walmart since they were cheap. The front mats fit really well but the rear mats are kinda small. It will do for now and plus it matches the interior pretty well.
I to have frost interior, i bought clear exact mats from ebay, they were $50 for 4, they r cut exactly for the floor of the maxima and fit like a glove. and they r so clear that u could still read the maxima embroided into the stock floor mat. just search 04/05 maxima in ebay and u will find them.
