Just an interesting idea on grille combinations

I'm thinking about buying the Sarona grille as the next mod on Maximus. The only thing stopping me from doing it is the need of a matching piece for the front bumper grille. I saw this on the internet the other day:

http://www.customenterprise.com/view.../vts/design004

I just wanted to ask if anybody has seen the sarona grille from up close. Is the diamond pattern similar to the one on this link? And another question: how do I install this grille mesh thing? And I hope you don't say tye-raps or duck tape....

Quack worked for OEM

many 4th and 5th genners have DIY mesh. maybe look around their forums and pm someone. I actually know guys that head to Home Depot for mods like this.

LOL....Duct tape.....like stated, I can't believe Nissan used it on their stock Maxima grill when I removed mine.

All that mesh is overpriced gutter grate stuff you can buy at Home Depot like you said.........

Note though to the guys, when you work with the stuff, wear gloves because you can cut the living hell out of your hands. I personally do not like the stuff on a Maxima.

I'm pretty sure the duct tape was on there only to protect the paint when installing the grille. The grille was not actually being held on with it.

Is it me or does that sarona grille seem to not match the body color?

Actually, the home depot stuff seems rather raw to me when I looked at it. My grill, the SSE grill it solid and has a much better fit and finish. Of course it was a snap tp put in, cuz it is made to fit. I think there is a risk of a poorly fitting grill if you go the Home Depot mesh route and there is a substabtial time factor as well.

Yep, I just decided. Powder coated glossy black color for the SS grille, 6th gen MAXIMA logo on grille, and black mesh on the bumper grille
