ipod question again for 6th gen.

I know this topic was covered before, but I couldnt find the post to reply to. I have my ipod hooked up with the Pac AAI-NIS adapter but the damn thing doesn't show up on the screen.
I want to know if anyone has figured out a way to make the songs and what not show up on the screen and be able to use the steering wheel to control it. its such a pain in the *** to look down to change songs while im driving.

As it's been mentioned plenty of times, the PAC adapter is just an auxiliary audio interface (hence the AAI in the name). It only sends the audio from [whatever] to the head unit, and nothing else.

AFAIK, there is nothing out there that supports sending the song info from the ipod to the stock HU, period. PAC makes stuff, but it doesn't work with the Maxima head unit.

The only way to do what you want (today) is to swap out the HU for something compatible. Seems like more trouble than it's worth to me, but it's your money and your car.

i thought i read an article that future Nissans/Infinites were to be iPod compatible or even available?

SAT is plenty for me. can keep the mp3s off my pc. online streaming is so nice.

I was thinking exactly same thing before I got a navipod.
you still have to look down at your ipod, but it's alot better with
remote control...at least for me.

tho, it only has play/pause, next, previous track, volume up/down buttons.
still good enough

I might just invest in the new navipod ex, with lets u scroll thru playlists as well.
as for the screen display, wonder if i could take it to nissan when the option becomes available and have them hook it up for me. would be sweet if they can.
