Want to lease 04 or 05

I have a 2000 max. right now. I am considering getting rid of it at the end of this year. I want an 04 or 05 lease. How much did u guys have to put down for a lease? how much is the monthly payment? And, how long is the lease for? Thanks for any input

Down payment, etc. all depends on the length of the lease and your credit (down is usually 1st month and sometimes security deposit, count on two payments up-front). Check into the allowed milage per year, buy-out options, etc. Going over the milage can KILL you.

I think it would be tough for you to get a 04 to lease. I hope you did not mean 06.

IMO, quality wise, you are better off with 05. 06 may be an Anniversary edition and hence more $$$$

There is a difference between want and need. You want the car, you don't need it! Obviously you can't afford the car, so why don't you just stay with the one you have.

I am constantly amazed at the money that is thrown hand over fist into cars. Do you ever plan on owning your own place? If the answer is, I already have my own place, then spend your money on it, rather than pissing it away on a lease car. Now I'm going to be booed of this forum for sure, lol!

FYI, I didn't lease either of my last two (05 max and 02 F250), but have leased a lot of cars in the past. There are pluses and minuses either way. Some believe buying a depreciating item is a mistake... (ie, buying a car, vs. leasing it). I'm just to the point that I want TO BE RID OF CAR PAYMENTS!! lol. 22 more months, the truck is paid off. 35 months on the new max, just made the first payment). Hopefully with good care, both will last a LONG time and I'll get a few years with no payments.

Oh and before rmurdoch gets on me for having 65,000 "worth" of cars, I have a home in OKC and an apartment in Dallas, 401 and IRA's... So it's okay

You I can handle, Okiewan, its the guys 20 years and more younger than you with no direction in their lives that I scratch my head over. I have been criticized on this forum for driving a 95SE, but I went to university for 5 years and went on to become a professional accountant so I could afford to do the things I want to do in life.

I spent a lot of money when I was young on cars too - been there, done that and got the T-shirt but I got over it.
