Anyones Wiper Arms riding higher?

I realize this might sound crazy, but we are all AR people about our rides.....My wiper arms having gradually risen higher on my windshield.

When I bought it, they would tuck nicely under the hood (in off mode of course)
Now, they dont tuck under, and I see them above the line of the hood. (about a 1 1/2 to 2" difference)

I unscrewed the bolt on the arm, and couldnt get it to bend back. Anyone messed with this yet?

Thanks-

I remember trying to use my wipers on some vehicle in the distant past while they were sort of frozen with ice/snow, and ended up with exactly your problem. I remember my dealer fixed it without much trouble, but I don't remember exactly how he fixed it.

Since your wipers rose gradually, this is probably not an ice/snow deal. But whether your problem was caused by ice/snow or something else, this is a warranty thing.

I would not expect the dealer to have much trouble adjusting your wipers. This is one of the things on the car that has not yet reached 'rocket science' level technology.

My fathers first ES300, 1997 used to do that all the time when he turned the wipers on to clear 3" of heavy snow because they werent able to return to their resting position so they have a feature that allows them to not get damaged because they then click a few notches up...but stay that way. I pushed them down and they clicked back to the regular position.
