Heater blows very hot air in Vent position
I'll let you think about that for a while.......how does a car cool down air?Ok, I won't be a smart ***...
If it's 80 outside the air coming into the vents is at least the outdoor temp and then some. The only way to cool that air is to turn on the AC system. All cars will exhibit this "problem." This is normal.
some have complained about this design practiced by most makes. even if the air entering the engine is on the cool side, it passes a warm engine. during colder weather, you can get cool "vent" air.
but none of that matters b/c A/C has become so efficient, you may as well run it. besides cooling air, it keeps the humidity just right.
some makes do not even give you an indicator that the A/C is on, or even the ability to turn it off.
with our HVAC, AUTO is your friend.

Well, a smart **** you are!
80* is not hot, 120*+ is hot and thats what blows from the vents when the AC is off and the temp is set at 60*
Did you bother to read any part of this thread?
It may be 80 outside, but the fact remains that the intake for the vents is between your windsheild and the hood. The air then has to pass through the engine compartment where it will become warm.
I question how hot the air coming out of the vents truely is.
If you think this is a problem go to the dealer and watch them laugh at you

if you just want to circulate air with out the fan blowing, you can turn it off then hit the mode button to open whatever vent you want. then adjust the temp.
then you will have to crack open your sunroof or windows to suck air into the cabin. faster you drive, the faster the air flows in. you will get air close to the temp outside. of course if your engine heats up, so does the air.

The vent intake between the hood and the windshield is sealed from the engine compartment. Fresh air is taken from outside and is not at 120*+
