Trip Computer (non NAV)

Can you pause/stop the trip function (either 1 or 2)? - the manual doesn't offer much insight....

I dont think you can Pause a trip computer and resume later

You can only reset and this will make the trip computer to start over.

Dont mean to hijack this post, but on a similar note why is it that my MPG barely ever moves but the DTE is always changing. I know for a fact that the DTE varies depending on how you drive, but shouldnt the MPG move accordingly also?? I get the feeling that the DTE resets when I fillup the tank, but the MPG is stuck taking readings over the entire life of the car.

Am I way off?? Is there a way to reset the MPG monitor everytime I get gas?

thanks,

MPG is reset when you reset the fuel info as evidenced by the stars. If you don't reset it then it will hardly ever change because the higher the miles used in its calculation, the more diluted the calculation becomes. Try holding doen the fuel button...this will reset the MPG. The DTE is always moving because it adjusts directly to your fuel consumption and does not need to be reset.

You're correct, DTE changes with the addition or subtraction of gasoline. However, MPG is taken over the life of the car UNLESS you reset it by holding down the Fuel Econ button for a few seconds and it'll reset MPG and DTE so you can start fresh.
