6th gen brakepads
6th gen brakepads
Has anyone changed their own pads yet? Im only at 30k and have no problems at all with them, but I know its coming. Why Im posting this in the 6th gen forum is because when I was at the dealer yesterday I was quoted $160 for the fronts and $150 for the rear pads! I asked why so high and she told me because there is something on the fronts that need to be installed in addition to just the pads...I wish I could remember what she said it needed..something that would need to be replaced, and if it isnt the pads wont' wear right...am I being fed a crock of $hit? How long do you guys think I should wait to replace the coolant and tranny fluid for this car? They want something like $80 for coolant and $120 for tranny. Their 30k service reccomendation only changes coolent, but 'checks' everything else and charges $150...
Anyone know if our pads have wear indicators which emit a high pitched screetch when they need replacement?

its not bad if you do it yourself.. they charge way too much... I think is bout 150 for all tha pads then if you do it yourself you will save so much money..
and yea, they would make a screech'ing sound when low..
