Guess whos back???

Thats right. "Blaxima" is back in business as of today. I finally got the car back. $5,309 was the final total in damage. Its about midnight now. I got off work at 10pm and it was at home when I got there. My wife picked it up for me while I was at work. Took a look at it all around inside and out, from what I could see in the nighttime, everything is perfect. I took it for a drive, everything.....PERFECT! They did an outstanding job. Even the evil "shimmy" was gone. For now, I hope. Im gonna clean it up first thing in the morning and take a look at everything. Im so happy shes finally home! Will take pics once shes cleaned up...

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing some pics once you've got it all cleaned up. Being black, any imperfections in the body, you should be able to see quite easily, but hopefully you won't find any.

Thanks guys. Well after cleaning up the Max this morning I found two things wrong. The square plastic piece thats on the base of the shifter was a bit scratched. When I got into the accident, I noticed the whole center console and the shifter had shifted a bit. I told them about it but I guess they managed to ignore it.
Also they had bought me a new rim and tire to replace the damaged one. But I got to look at all three of the other rims and guess what? When they repainted the car, I guess they didnt take the time to prep properly cuz Ive got "OVERSPRAY" on the chrome of all my rims!
I called the shop back and told them about it. Cant bring it in today since I have to work, but I will bring it back tomorrow. Does anybody know if theres a chance they can get the overspray of paint off, or will they have to replace all 3 of the rims?

They should be able to get the overspray off. Depending on what they use, I hope it doesn't damage the chrome/polish. Make sure to ask them what precautions or products they will be using and is it safe on the material?

Now keep that beauty in 1 piece!

Woohoo she is alive again. Some bull**** though. You pay $5,000 and they didn't clean her at all? I fixed the bumper and they cleaned her inside and out plus wax.

But on Onyx that's a good thing. I'm very picky about what products clean my car and what is used to do the work. I have Swirlphobia. maybe, but swirless

Yes shes back now! I brought the car back today. They magically took the overspray off of everything! Looks good as new now. As for the shift plate, theyll be ordering a new one for me also. I actually cleaned her up some more today and went for a cruise around town. Got nothing but stares and compliments!
