broke my sideview

Whats up guys? Someone hit my sideview mirror and cracked the part that connects to the car. The mirror itself is fine and the whole casing but the part thats attached to the car ( the shiny black part) is whats cracked.

Im guessing that my sideview can still be used and all i'll need is the black part that gets screwed into the side of the car. The mirror still turns and closes fine.

My question is does anyone know how much that one part is? Thanks.

I had that EXACT same thing happen to mine. Nissan doesn't sell the plastic part without the whole mirror assembly, which sucks. The part retails for like $200 at the dealer -- yeah, sucks -- and I wasn't able to find it online anywhere (when I looked, a few months back).

The mirror comes primed and the plastic is black, but you have to take the mirror apart to take out the power connectors unless you want to splice the cables from the old mirror to the new one.

You have to take off the door panel to remove the bolts that hold the plastic to the car... so it's a ton of work. I did it on mine without too much hassle (hardest part was finding the damn mirror), so anybody can do it.

There are a few on Ebay but are different colors. You would have to get them painted that would be kinda a pain and drive the cost up. I think the ones on Ebay are a tad overpriced. Dealer might actually be better for you in this instance. Just my opinion.
