Isn't There A Way???

Isn't there a way someone can program an ignition key themselves? I thought I read it once. It had something to do with inserting and removing the key serveral times. Was I dreaming?

Yep, the microtransmitter keys are dealer programmed only. Now, the remote control, you can program one of them yourself. Some of the new cars have VERY expensive keys now....actually most are going to the microtransmitters. Some can run over 350 bucks for ONE replacement key. Hell, paid 100 bucks for a BMW key. Technology....funny thing, you can have a 350 buck key, expensive alarm....but if someone still wants your car, they will get it.
