Elite Package: Swap buckets + console for bench?

Hi All,
Does anyone have a guess as to whether or not the rear bench + console from the elite package be swapped for a conventional seat?
If so, how hard do you think it would be?
I'd imagine that the heated seats may present a problem, but I'd even like to try to put them in the bench. The element is probably integrated to the seat though.

any ideas?

thanks

Why buy the car with a elite package if you want to change the seats? That is one of the main items in the elite package. Later Warren

Why do this?

Because I have the opportunity to buy a car with the elite package for a low price (lower than a non-elite), but I need a conventional rear seat.

Sounds like this would be a big job, that is "if" its do-able. Wouldn't the console have to be swapped right to the front ?

Not sure what the savings are on the Elite deal that you're looking at, but the money you save may be eaten up by the cost of the swap.

I quess the best think to do is ask the dealer if that can be done and how much they would charge. Just to see if its worth the effort. Good luck

id do the swap thit you. my main concern is the seats the conventional can be folded down in the back and the elite can not. so hmm there may be a difference in something mechanical in this area.

Man, swap a bench for an Elite package rear, damn, Only 2 things could have happened;

1. He now has 3 kids, or
2. He just realized he can no longer lay the babes across the backseat...

Good luck, I turned down an elite package because of the 4 person limitation, looks great, just not in my ride...

I can appreciate the question about swapping seats. I have an elite package and I'm "underwhelmed" with it. I did not even know it existed until I went looking at new Maximas. I only got it because I got a great deal on a demo SE (which I wanted for the ride) and it had a NAV system and was a decent colour. I don't have to haul lots of kids around any more so I went for it. It's comfortable, but it is a bit of a restriction at times.

I like the big back seat and the cargo space when the seats fold down. My 98 had that small pass through and I hated it. The elite package looks great but if you need space it's a bad move.

you will need the whole console from the shifter back, its all one piece, so make sure it matches...

you do know if you do this you just lowered the price of that elite by atleast $1500..
