Lately I've noticed that when I accelerate (also happens if I tap the gas while in park..) that there will be a slight squeeking sound just as the engine revs through 1K RPM. Has anyone else noticed this? It's most noticeable when next to a wall or in the garage or something.

Hmmm... sounds like what I'm having, but I'm not sure it's from the engine (mine sounds more like from the rear somewhere).

Mine only happens from a full stop, and it doesn't happen if I accelerate sloooowly. Does that sound about right?

I have an appointment to take my car in to have it checked out this week, since I couldn't figure out what was going on on my own.

 

i have the same exact problem oddly its only in either reverse or when im creeping

 

Yeah, I've only heard it at low speeds (it's not loud enough to hear at much over 10 probably) and while parked, so it very well could be the same. I wonder what it is? It happens EXACTLY at 1K RPM for me.. I can sit in park, and rev to 950+ RPM, but as soon as I break 1K it happens... both going up through 1K and back down (I think). And, if I press too hard, then I don't think it squeeks.

 

I am getting one heck of a squeek from my rear driver side. The dealership said it was my aftermarket anti sway bar and they tightened and lubed it! Still squeeking like mad. I am thinking it is the strut.

 

Just a guess, any accessory belts loose?

 

I hear that noise when i put the car in reverse and hit the gas to park Also the car sometime click into gear kinda loud
