CAI and Y-pipe?


Berk CAI @ $189, is this the preferred CAI?, I had a PR CAI on my 99.
Anyone recommend a Y pipe?

I'm thinling of having a custom stainless steel job done, have a great shop
near home, is there a good pre-bent aftermarket Y-pipe available?

 

berk makes a CAI? i think you are refering to the short ram intake, injen is the only company that i know tha makes a CAI for the 6th gen maxima.

 

Best bang for the buck is saving the buck. Forget the overpriced intake. Now, if you have a good exhaust shop...work with them. They can pretty much do wonders. Add a muffler of your choice. Now, that is not going to give you much.....but better than a CAI....or for the Maxima....HAI.....Hot Air Intake. Just my 2 cents.

 

The exhaust system is a souce for horsepower because its very crimped A y-pipe with a totally redone exhaust I think frees up some good horsepower. Looks-wise, tinting ur tails or painting ur calipers are cheap easy mods that look good. I tinted my tails, blackened my headlight chrome, and painted my calipers for about $100 in stuff.
