Maxi goes HID...

Finally got some before n after pics uploaded of the halogens and HIDs...

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/824467/5

Those with HID experience, can you please tell me what you think of the projection on the wall?
The dealer did the leveling, but i don't trust him since he told me there are 2 HID bulbs in the headlight

Let me know if you want different pics at different distances or angles... thanks.

Btw, anyone know what percentage of tint is legal in PA???

The cutoff line on the wall is exactly what mine looks like with factory HID...no problem.

thanks bro..
the cut off line should be the same because i installed the entire OEM HID headlight assembly on both sides.

But what im worried about is if you look at the picture with the car a little far away from the wall, does it look like the cut off line is a little too low???

It does seem a bit low in this pic, how far away from the wall were you exactly?

Got dual HID in mine

I put HID's in both lower and High beam and it works a treat.

I can even have both on at the same time driving around the city and only about 1 in 100 cars will flash me.

Our lights don't have shutters like most of the US models.

you are actually aligned well. look at the side mirrors of the ford. the cut off is at the mirrors, thats where it will shine that HID blue/purple.

How much did the dealer charge you for aiming the lights?

the dealer only followed the aiming specs in the sticky.

I swear when I got different tires my lights are up higher. but no one has flashed me since. so it of cource may be my imagination (unless i'm pissin them off worse or they are familiar with HIDs now)

i know, but they are each at 32psi and already look low. the Max psi on these dunlops are 55 IIRC (RSA 44), but goodyear said to run whatever Nissan recommends (32psi cold).

I'm about to take a wheel off and compare it's height with my "full size spare" (aka gouged oem rim with RSA).

that is the ballast. a HID bulb needs that ballast to work.

in order to have HID:
you need a HID projector, a Ballast and a D2S bulb
