Help, I have read that when the chronic strut problem happens you hear a hollow thud coming from the front end.

I thought I did the research and got and 04 with a vin# over 9000, and the problem was fixed.

Is the car safe to drive if it is a strut problem, could it be another problem.

I hear the thud when I go over the smallest road bump coming from the front passenger side.

Does the TCB now specify both struts need to be replaced?

How long does this take at the STEALERSHIP?

THank you all in advance,

I had the same exact problem, and I had to drive around the technician
cuz he said he couldn't hear it when he drove it.

anyways, he heard the thud when i went over the bumps.

he said it was strut problem, so he replaced rear struts.
but i still hear the thud when i go over bumps.

so i took it back after few months, this time i had this squeaking sound too
when going over the bump. so...i heard....thud...squeeeakk...

they replaced rear sway bar bushings which fixed the squeaking sound.
but i still have the thud sound. luckily i don't hear it as often as before.
but it's still there...

I wanna try front strut tower bar/front strut brace. cuz i thought it might
eliminate the thud sound since it reduces the body flexing.

but it's always out of stock at stillen....sucks...
