thoughts on New Zealand 6th Gen Body kit ?

the nz maxima with this kit looks sweet IMO. also the NZ front grill is different but i thought this was a nice looking 6th gen. from what i understand the vq is toned down to around 227 hp, but still a very nice look going here. any thoughts , opinions ?

Looks good. Kind of like a Stillen.

That kit is exactly what we need for the 6th gen. A mild lip kit that flows perfect with the bodylines of the car. The stillen is a bit extreme for me but it looks way better than the sarona kit.

I second that Glude. If the pieces were molded to the car, it would lOOk even better!

This is the factory Nissan kit for NZ, Australia & SE Asia , it's cheap as chips you can order it when you order your car or just bits like the front or rear or just the side skirts. Cost of the total kit is less then $650 USD .. The grill will not fit as our grills are attached to the bonnet unlike the US version which is attached to the front bumper assembly.

Up tuning our motors is quite simple .. Have mine now putting out 265Hp by minor modifying to the inlet and exhaust and running it on 98 octane. Most of the restriction was various baffles on the inlet track.

I think it looks classy, kind of run of the mill.....but it helps the car somewhat, the more I see the car the more I like it, like anything. It would take more getting used to the interior, because I can't shake the old avalon retirement dash...but I still like the car of course overall.

I like the front end of the car as it has the fog lights in a more traditional place, down low to the road. The kit looks understated, not flashy, and it gives the car a bolder look. If they'd make one that fits ours like that I'd consider getting it. I also like the grill, its like the Infinity line of cars.

Sorry guy's, I'm not feeling it, with their front bumper having a slightly longer nose, the kit looks too Chevy Malibu or Z-24 ish. 6th Gen's have come a long way and they need flowing lines and curves vice squaring off the bottom. No matter what, everyone is entitled to their opinion, no lost Luv...

I'm with chernmax... not because I have a Stillen body kit, but it looks so much like an american car... Anyway, it's a lot better that keeping it stock!

Looks great! The fact that you might have to look twice at the car because you know something looks a little different makes it that much more appealing. Thumbs up on the rear spoiler too............

Hi Warren,

They are avalible from any local Nissan Dealer in Australia , cheap as $119 AUD..Freight is the high cost at around $50 USD becuase its a big box.

There was a thread going on about it a couple of days ago.. It is the right size in length and hight , however some concerns were raised about the curvature of the rear screen at its midpoint. They look exactly the same to me but I reccon the curve is about 1/2" and some other fella reccons its about 4-5"... Happy to send one over to anyone how want to take a punt that it may fit..

Hi Warren,

Happy to arrange it for you. It would cost about $149 USD in total . You can send it to me via Paypal and I will arrange it for you, but don't be flamming me if it don't fit..

I am not trying to make a $$$ , but I would be interested in the look of one on the US Max as you have that indented bottom half of your rear screen and I reccon it would look pretty flash on one.

PM me if you want to arrange it...

The man is a star I like him already ....

By the way, it's formally the Aussie Maxima ... on account of there being more of us then there is of them .. New Zealands that is ..... :attention

They have been seen being tested over there ... AWD version is the word.. Remember, Nissan gotta seller and extra 1 Million cars, so why not just intro a new model , unliklely to be calling it a Maxima but ...

Sorry but the ground effects kit used in the example just seems too plain and flat, just doesn't do justice for the smooth curves of the 6th gen, however blackpaladin67 ride ROCKS...

I have to dissagree unless your just into pure rice kits that look like monsters. The Stillen is decent but its stil way aggresive IMO. I didnt buy a classy car to make it look like all the civics on the road with their obsene bodykits. just my opinion though...

Hey, you're preaching to the Quire, that's why my ride does not have a body kit yet. Some kits look OK but nothing worth doing IMO. I have seen the new design soon to be released by RedLineMax, just hang tight for about 5 more weeks. Let the pictures speak for themselves...
