So there are several posts on here that discuss coilovers, eibachs, and other options. I want to start a post that covers all the details.

As most of us know the suspension on the SE model causes great headaches for those with bad struts. I am considering going with something after market to ease my pain with the car. I am having a hard time deciding which way to go. I am sure there are others on the board that might consider the switch too if we know what to expect.

So for all you guys that have changes the stock setup on the suspension-
1-What did you change to? Coilovers or new springs/struts?
1a-If you went with the spring/strut combo did you get new struts?
2-What name brand did you go with?
3-What did you pay for parts/pay to install? (if you care to answer this one)
3a-Where did you shop and would you shop there again?
4-What made you choose to go with your setup vs. the other option.
5-How long have you driven with the setup and how has it performed compared to the stock setup
6-what is your current setup-wheel/rim size, ride height, coilover setting, etc

Hopefully this will turn into an informative post and not one that bashes or supports one company over the other. This post is to serve more as a "I hate the stock setup what should I do?" I know other post on here have discussed it but none have been really thought out IMO.

 

I just emailed Monroe to see if they offer something. Right now they don't offer a strut for the 6th gen.
