Speedometer not reading...

as many of you might know, i replaced...no, i added the eurogauges to my car. didnt have any probles till now...20 mins ago. I went out to get me something to eat, when i noticed...i was doing 0 miles per hour !! pretty cool i thouhgt but then it hit me...WTF ?? i could say i am 99.9% sure it is not my gauges bulking out and stoping the needle from moving so what is the reason behind this ?? it is only the spedometer needle, everything else is good...i mean it didnt even moved a little, i got in the hwy and i am pretty sure i was doing over 65 for good 15 minutes...

H E L P ! ! very

by the way...i know about the spring that is supposed to be installed in the gauges but for what i know that is when you have problems with the tachometer ( the one that reads the rpm...) but correct me if i am wrong please...

no comments from me, i like the oem, don't like to mess with such things, and the fact that it hasn't been perfect for others made me not even consider the swap.

I suppose I would return it to stock and if still broken, hope the dealer can't tell you messed with it.
well i guess there were a few comments there

buah buah (me crying) do you think this was cause by me adding the eurogauges ?? some mentioned before they had problems with the gauges bulking out and getting on the way of the needles so they were not free to move...but as i said before, i am 99.9% it is not my case ... dealer in this case will not be an option...they could tell oh yes they could...

If the needle is not moving, then it can only be contact with the gauges... I ran mine for 6 months without a single problem, and as soon as it got warm outside they started sticking.

I know it's a pain, but take them off and see if the needle sticks... chances are they won't. Did you do anything to secure them back or just mount them? AFIAK anybody that just put them up there (without tape or something) has had problems...

nah..thats the thing, today was rainy and cold...like 2 weeks ago it was like 105 and it was all good...

i used double sided tape so that is why i said i am 99.9% sure it is not because of the gauges are bulking up...ill see tomorrow if they finally decide to run ..i probably take them apart jsut to check !!

take them out and see if you still have the problem. if it goes away, then i guess you have your answer. if not, then it's off to the dealer for you.

update...

today the temperature is up...way up compare to yestedrday...by the time i got to work the needle was jumping from 0 to 20 when i was doing maybe 35 or 40 then from 20 to 45 when i was at about 65 or 70. i parked and the heat built up, luch time came, it is reading normal now. my belief is that the humidity or condensation (dunno from were though) is making it stick since when it is hot it doesnt stick... any comments on this anyone ?? i will probably take it off today or tomorrow and see whats up... but i am opent to ideas and/or comments... thank you !!

luigi.
