Redlinemax- rear bumper interest
We are in the design phases of a rear for our current signature series front bumper. we would like to get your input on the design. Are you guys more interested in a full rear end or just a lip? what would you guys like? we have some ideas and want to make sure we are on the right Track.

full bumper please. but NOT looking like the sarona. i have a slight crease in mine and would like to replace it all togther. even if i didn't, i think it's more professional than slapping pieces on that may not be secure.

Full bumper is better but it has to be relatively small since the rear end of the car is already bulky. Do you need a car to borrow for design purposes? Im about 20 min from Corona.

Something along these lines would look gorgeous for the backend of the 6th gens. The Volvo S60 R, nice looking kit that makes it hard to tell if it's really factory or not.

Or maybe something along the lines of the S40 R. Very subtle and nice.

The pictures shown of other cars is great, but Nissan managed to destroy the rear of this car, making it really hard to design a awesome looking kit. With that said, we are in the development of one at the moment and it will/does look amazing.

Corey, full bumper please, also maybe offer 2 types of rear end outlets, squared off for exhaust tips that are stock, cattman, or megaflow and rounded for Max'es with GReddy SP II. Second, please, please do not make it bulky like the Sorona (looks like a baby with a full diaper!). And keep the sides rounded in like the new side skirts your currently designing (aerodynamic / police radar friendly) Hard lines give a higher radar return when radiated against... Overall you will have the best kits on the market...

nice to see a general concensus on this. gtr, also good to hear. I know with our lines, those rears are way out there, but closest to what i think could be done to shave our end. having the horizontal break higher up and slanting down steeper to meet the side skirts. like C-Hern said, square/box wrap arounds would be hot. Maybe custom trim circles for the larger greddy.

I like the front bumper design, but I would have ton see the real unit. I won't want to sweep the driveway everyday with it. As far as the rear, Stillen has the right idea but almost not noticeable by it self. I agree that it should be a replacement bumper, but not bulky. Follow your side skirt line with exhaust cut outs and vents in the center?

no photoshop, so my best
here is what i see would look best on the rear.
shaving it so it's flush with the tail lights and symetrical to the top.
with this, the tail pipes may stick out more, but is that really bad?
if so, maybe a bottom rear lip could help conceal them something like the front or trunk lip??

Nismo your bumper idea sounds like a great idea, but you do have to remember that there are bumper supports and things in the back of the bumper cover. This is possibly why the bumper looks the way it does, a bubble. If you cut down the bumper, you most likely would be going into the bumper support region which would stink for a rear end accident.

gtr,
yeah, I figured. but i was going along with what members said while repairing their
own that there's plenty of space back there.
Even if my overall sketch is too drastic, even getting as close as possible would be
just as good. I just wanted to get a starting point out there and leave any lines and
flair up to the designer.

After having the bumper dinged a few times and knowing it's goint to happen again I would like to see a 2 piece system Maybe an outer layer that clips off. Something that you could replace easy. If you decide to do that I think it would generate sales bieng that the replacement clip would be an afforafble fix.
