I had to post my comment in there. Calling our car a piggy bank on wheels. I feel like he's mad that he doesn't have one.

I posted there as well. I don't think enough previous gen owners have seen some of the enhancements we have made over here in the 6th gen family. Some really good looking rides around here

I think thats how 90% of the people who dont like the 6th gen are. They dont have the money for one so they bash it. The older maximas are lighter so they would make that a strong point and talk about how the 6th gen is to heavy. Funny thing is half of these people are totally serious about their huge weight advantage for racing when in fact the maxima is NOT a race car.

lol..as a 5.5th gen i agree. the 3.5 in the 6th gen makes more power so who cares about weight? whats even funnier is how some 5th gen guys take their car on the auto-x courses and think they are fast!

Well im not saying its wrong to race in a maxima. Hell any car is fun in some fast turns. Just pointing out that the biggest issue with people is weight related and when your buying a family sedan, I dont think weight is an issue.

I loved my 5th gen, but the 6th gen wins hands down, especially in handling - stock vs. stock, with the extra pounds.

I do RACE my maxima. its got JICs, nice and sticky 18s, and the racing i do is real racing...not the auto-x BS. 40 secs of racing? Take you max on a road course, thats where the fun lies. 120+MPH down the straights, on the brakes, back on full throttle..awesome. I am going to nelson ledges in OHIO with my ser buds and im taking the max.

sorry for going OT, but you 6th gens guys, there are some real immature people in the 5th gen area, so dont listen to what they say. you like your cars, and thats all that matters!

I race my Maxima as well. Check out my thread. I have vid s and everything. I took third place out of 15 cars at the Lone Pine Time Trials this year, beating M3s with good drivers etc. Thats with bone stock suspension except for prototype rear sway bar. Any 5th gen wanna run me??
