Replaced stock struts
When I got my springs replaced by Cattman/Progress, they indicated my right strut was bad. I bottomed out on every freakin dip in the road. The heard a bit of clunking but there were no other indicators. I went to Progress to have stock struts installed today. I went there manily cuz they are experts in suspension, and I hate the stealership. For a good price (undisclosed) I had them install OEM struts from the stealership.
They also noted that my tires were underinflated, probably due to the fact that when I raced my car in June, it was at high altitude and let air out after race, so when i came to the lowlands, they got under-inflated.
Anyway . .. . . when I drove off the lot, it was like a new car!! NO bottoming out on any dips, cornered very flat, very little lean. Fabulous!!!
My point is that everyone ought to get their struts checked REGULARLY for seepage of oil and any sign of failure. YEEEHAAA. Lovin my max!!
