I'd like to see what it could do for a 6th gen. If anything, it would be about the same if not better than my 5.5 gen. You're going to get bored with that 50 shot in no time, but if you move up. You should do it in 25 shot increments. I was at a 75 shot, and wanted to work my way to a 125 shot and stop there. I think with the right fuel pressure, spark from at least 1 step colder plugs, and safety gear you could run the 125 with no problems. Report you experience, very nice setup.

thats the truth

sounds like he might be the type too interested in stepping it up to a really big shot to race or anything though. all personal preference i guess.

i used to think that way until i actually tried just a 55 shot on my car. then i was hooked lol. i think its quite a different experience to feel all that extra hp kick in on a VQ myself.

It shouldn't take that long for your car. This was the 1st 6th gen. that they did and they wanted to make sure everything was done right.

Congrats on the set up. i have nitrous on my 5th gen and i love it. i'm waiting on a fpr and then i'm going to have the afc installed and get the car dyno tuned to run a 125 shot. have fun with it you'll love the extra torqeu you'll get from that 50 shot, look for around 75 to 80 extra ftlbs of it.

The picture on the dudes face would be worth it's weight in gold , knowing Warren, he'll be more mature about the whole situation and give the kid a head start before handing him his a$$. This would all take place on a track of course...

Nice set up. I have the same purge light kit. It's nice at night. Becareful not to aim it towards you or it will blind you at night. I made that mistake once. Have fun and be safe.

Nice clean looking install, but its going to be a pain everytime you refill the bottle to remove all those add ons. I have everything but the blow down tube on mine. Most the shops around make take everything off to refill it. But when it done it was worth it once your WOT!

It's not that difficult to remove for refills. you should only have about three quick connections to undo and two fasteners to take the bottle out. As far as the remote bottle opener, just take the motor off and leave the purple twister thing. A shop should be able to hook up a nitrous line and refill. I have mine refilled all the time. It takes me no more than a minute to detach everthing and take it out of the car.

Thanks for the information. I filled up the bottle Sat. in MD. Was a lot cheaper than Brooklyn. $3.50 MD, $9.90 in Brooklyn. Some difference.

What does 2 bottles have to do with it? Quit watching fast and the furious and get some real knowledge before you post.

In VA it's $4.50 a lb. Not bad considering that you are not using it too often. Make sure to keep your bottle closed when you do not anticipate on using it. N2O will leak out of the lines. Also remember to turn off you bottle heater when your bottle is closed.

From my experience, once your nitrous pressure stays constant around 600psi even with the bottle heater on, you have mostly air left in the bottle. Let it out and get a full refill. when you get down to about a 1-2lbs it's usually just air.

No problem, my heater is hooked up to main power switch to arm the nitrous. Are you on a window switch or a push button?

If you really want to feel the kick in your pants you should use a 75 or 100 shot jet. The 50shot jet didn't really do anything for me in my old max, you could tell a difference but it just wasn't...enough. I kicked it up to a 75 jet and that seemed to do the trick, but the 100 was flat -nice-.

As this is the first time that I am using nitrous, I want to try it at a 50 shot to make sure that the engine can handle it. I will than move to a 75 shot when I feel the engine won't blow. lol

Thanks

hey warren another advice tip is when your down here and its hot outside try to freeze your bottle before filling it up for some reason it holds more N2o then air plus i know of a mustang shop around here in pompano that fills for $4.00 a LB
