Max at dealer got alt. i miss max
I really miss my 06 max. The power, the feel of the max is so great.
They gave me a rentel Alt and it sucks!!!!!!
The reason why my car is at the dealer is becase
1) car pulls to the right, tiny bit
2) blew a sub
3) take a tiny dent out.
4) fix the blue tooth issue, with no # on IC when caller calls
( i hope they can fix it).
So yea, i miss my max

When I had my unit in to get a body kit installed at the stealership (part of my deal), I took out a 2001 Mercedes C240. What a POS. I missed my max. But it made me soo happy that I had the Max instead of that car. No power. Handling was so-so, and so few options. They were asking 31k CAD for the used car. I was like, good luck selling that when you have Max's on the lot.

When my Max was in the body shop for repairs, the insurance company paid for a rental car. It was a 4 cyl Hundai and was that ever crappy. You would floor it for acceleration, the auto-trannie would downshift and the engine would make noise, but there was very little acceleration -- just noise. The steering was sloppy and the handling was scary. Was I ever glad to get my Max back.
We hear lots of complaints here about the 6gen Max, but compared to many other cars, it remains a great performer.

after my accident, enterprise gave me a '06 Chevy HHR. it was such a horrible car and poorly designed. you couldn't adjust the seat unless you had really tiny hands or opened the door. i couldn't take it anymore so i traded it back when the oppurtunity came. received a FX35, but i still couldn't wait to get my max back.

Without struggle there is no progress. I have a friend who has an 04 alt. 2.5s I drove it and it made me realize how different they are from each other. My buddies wife has a c 240 benz wagon. He drove my car and got out of it saying that has wife should have gotten the max. He said her car felt under powered and small compared to our cars. I guess it helps that he is the manager at a Mr. Tire. I can't see paying 34-36k for a compact wagon with little power when I have a larger and more powerful car than that. He was even amazed at the memory seats and the steering wheel. I guess you could get the c or (cheap class) lol with these options but you would probably spend 40k. He also stated that Nissan has come a long way with the Max

Altima different
A few months ago I had my car in the body shop for a few days. The insurance allowed for a rental so I drove an Altima for a couple of days while my Max was getting taken care of. The Altima was OK, but felt "light" or "thin" compared to the Maxima. I was reminded anew of my first impression upon test driving a Maxima-that smooth, solid ride and the engine that purred and zipped. The Maxima is certainly a different car than the Altima, and driving the Altima left me with a renewed appreciation for the Maxima.

I got a Freestar minivan a couple of weeks back while travelling on business. That was a big POS. I rented the old Windstar for a week and that minivan was fine, under-powered but fine. This new Ford's replacement is really crap. It's still under-powered and the brake + wheels/tires are better fit for a motorcycle. It moans at every turns. When I hit the brakes, it didn't quite have enough power to slow down itself. Usually I got into panic-stop situations and had to stand on it. Then the van would creek and slide, totally unsafe. It only had 7Kmiles at the time.
And no, I wasn't driving spiritedly.
