Looks like I will join the 6th gen family...
My beloved 3rd gen is nearing its end. The tranny is on its way out and we figured it's not worth the money to fix. So we're thinking of putting down payment for a 6th gen. So I might be rolling in a new max in the near future. I'm really big into audio, so maybe I can help out the 6th gen max audio department when I familiar myself with it.
Thought I'd share

I had black cars for the past few years... now i have a silver one...
I definetely don't wash my car as often to clean it.. it looks clean most of the time!
Check out my homepage if you get a chance.
oh, and Silver has an hp or two. =)
p.s. you need to wash them white cars more than enough to make it look clean most of the time!

+1 on the silver. Our last car was black only because we got a smokin' deal on it. Looks great when it's clean, but what a pain in the **** to keep clean here in the rainy PNW and the thing shows every little scratch and ding. It would take an even better deal to get us back into a black car again, if ever. I'm not into spending hours each week detailing my cars, so silver is an extremely practical color for me.

You mix it all up and it comes out grey-smoke grey that is.It's good to see everybody is repping their colors-lol. White is a great color(2nd choice) and welcome to the 6th gen Family(soon to be?).Forget color, when you're inside driving-you'll probably be sold.

i don't mind washing the car all the time, i have a shelf full of car wax/detailing stuff.
i guess i have to go to the dealer and have a look at each color in person.![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
yeah, i'll move it over to the 6th gen, along with my arc and bostons. going to get a new HU and some components.

I will have to say nothing is as fine as a Black max. As a matter of fact a Black max is as fine as frogs hair. Welcome to you soon which ever color you decide on. The system will be nice as well I am going focal k2 componets and the kevlar 11 inch sub. And a Pioneer d2 head unit if I can find a double din kit to put it in. anyone seen one?

Go for the silver with the black leather. Less work but white is easy to keep clean too. The black max's are beautiful but if you ever get snow they really have to be first to get a car wash. If you get white are you going to get the black leather? Good luck and welcome soon to be 6th man.

I've wondered if the Bose name was used as a selling point as much as an actual premium sound system. So, if and when you get your 6th generation, I welcome the chance to read your ideas about improving the sound system. I'm not so interested in large woofers or necessarily more power, but if there are speaker/driver complements that could improve the quality of the sound, it would be great to know your thoughts. In particular, I think the high frequency range of the Bose system is lacking (though I have not read any frequency response data), and I know that the low end is constrained by the relatively small drivers such that there is likely a mid-bass presentation/exaggeration (though again, I have not seen any frequency response data). I wonder if Bose-Nissan equalized the system to provide as flat of a frequency response as could be attained.

i have a few ideas on what i want in the new max in terms of audio. odds are, i'll end up ripping everything out and go with aftermarket components that will handle more power, and reproduce sound like the way its meant to be heard.

so we went to the dealer today to test drive some 6th gens. the ride is pretty comfy and the 3.5 is pretty strong under the hood. my only complaint is the steering wheel. is it me or is it small?
