06 Side view mirror ?
06 Side view mirror ?
I know this may be a dumb question but does anyone know whether the outside dimming mirrors on the 06 would work on a 04-05. This is the only option on the 06 that I really like. I just don't want to buy a new car just for this. I wa at the dealership the other day and a guy had just bought an 06 I really do think it would come in handy at night I hate the fact that my rearview dims and not the sides. That is the spot that always catches the most glare at night. Don't be to harsh on me it's just some food for thought.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe all 05 came w/ dimmed rearview and side mirrors. I have an 05 SL and all the mirrors are dimmed. To answer your question, find an 05 that the mirrors are dimmed and put them on your car. They are really nice, even w/ tinted windows. It's hard driving other cars that don't have them, b/c you don't realize how well they block the light out.
hard to go back
My 2005 SL has auto dimming mirrors (rear view and side view). I really like this feature-minimal glare and I don't find myself squinting from others' lights. It would be hard to go back to a different vehicle without auto dimming mirrors.
I have 20% all around but at might when I have the windows down the glare bothers me. I might try to see if I can find them I know the shape hasn't changed just wonder if they will work. Thanks for enlighting me on the 05's though now I have a couple of options to go with.

I think is prob plug and play, the dealer might answer that question for ya if you are interested..
My 02 Acura TL had mirrors that were tinted blue and this cut down on any glare from lights. I wonder if there is a way to change out the mirror with one that is tinted or tint it with some window tint. Any ideas?
sensor on mirror

I have tinted windows (%20 wish I would have went with %15) and now it's not really a problem unless some **** is behind me with his brights on. Before I got my tint job done the mirrors dimmed darker because the light didnt' have to go through the tint first. If you get your windows tinted the sensor in the rearveiw mirror takes that into consideration and doesn't darken as much.
tint= not as much compensation.
no tint= more compensation.
The only dimming sensor is in the rearview mirror. If you hold a flashlight upto the sensor the mirrors will go almost black, all 3.

o4 here with no dimming on side mirrors.. what i had on the rear view is now useless, now that i got tint... the tint takes care of the glare... and I now have one feature that I cant show off:-((

ahhh, not plug and play then.... too much work just by you posting that..
