Too much chrome in the backlights, people might start thinking it's an Altima. I dig the LEDS, however I prefer a red lens. IMO, the current configuration looks a little too busy. I will however make a better assessment once I see them on someones ride off and than lit...

Well I'm just not picturing them... I'm surprised that they had them built (and obviously fitted) but didn't take any pictures of them installed on the test car. That would have given people a much better idea of what they look like.

But FWIW, they're just not cutting it for me. At $300 they're definitely not doing anything for me, but maybe after I see them mounted on a car they'll grow on me... maybe.

I checked em out again and I think it would look a lot better with a red lens.

Probably in the same way that eating a small donkey anus sandwich would be a lot better than eating a large one. Either way, it's hard to visualize them on the car for some reason...

Maybe they can get a set or two in stock... I wouldn't mind driving out there and having them put on just to test and take pictures. At least people would know for sure what they look like on the car.

something tells me they won't fit. unless we are supposed to somehow rip off the oem painted surround, there's gonna be quite a gap.

I appreciate the concept, but would not horizontal leds across the top and middle with reflector on the bottom wrap around only (just like oem bulb placement) look a lot better?

I would hope at least a test fit has been done and pics taken.....

The problem is they don't reflect around in the lens like a regular bulb they look bright from straight on but in general not so good...

Did a photochop using idnumber1's pic (hope you don't mind) but it was hard to get a good and clear chop without a correct angle match.

I did several variations...original image with stock tails is the last pic:

Red tint

Smoke tint

Smoke tint with reverse light cut out

Yeah the angles are not right... but still, that's a lot of ugly. The only ones that look decent are the tinted ones, and that's probably because you can't see them all that well...

But like I said, my opinion may change after I see them mounted on a real car and ready to go.

That is nothing short of FUGLY. Actually it is exactly what I invisioned as looking too busy. Again, I will still await an actual 6th Gen install to make a final comment. Currently, seems the design steps back several notches for the upclass look of the Max, way, way too CIVIC ricey... Again just my opinion...

What you guys think... Maybe someone can photoshop them onto our cars ?
What a way to **** up a product launch. Sell it in lowest form of rice there is for a $40,000CA car.

I was waiting for a nice set of LED tails and look at the **** up.

STUPID!!! Dark lenses or Red lenses is the only way to go. Chrome is so cheez *** rice rocket. Mind as well join the dark nights and pretend you drive a Civic MANG.

Whose the first sucker to buy a set.??

I think if u put tint on dark enough it will not look all chrome and fugly but when u hit the brakes, u get to see the LEDs. Maybe if I could get some at cost, Id be willing to experiment with tint. Hint hint!!!

Thanks for the visual! Im thinking that the smoked out ones might look pretty good. The chrome ones look way to "busy" as many have mentioned. I would buy them if they offered different lens choices... Anyone know when they are actually going to start shipping these?

Personally, I can say that at least someone is attempting to make aftermarket tail lights for the Maxima. Like them or not, at least someone is not leaving us out of the market on new stuff. I would personally have to see them to make the decision and imagine they would look good on lighter cars if any at all.

The price is way over the top though and imagine they will fog up like hell and be all over Ebay soon in different variations for under 100 bucks.

Kudos for at least showing something different, even if they are not everyones style.....hey, it is a first attempt.....but I will be passing.

Well everyone has an interest in something, however in marketing, you need to analyze your target audience (us) and then request some sort of feedback, similar to how Corey from RedLineMax created his new front bumper and Maciek of RedLineGoods makes the shift/E-brake boots. Not like theirs a shortage of resources available to ask:

Maxima.org
NYCMaxima.org
6thGenMaxima.org
cardomain.com
etc...

I do however understand that some mods are kept on the down low so someone doesn’t jack your idea, however tail light mods are a dime a dozen. Hats off for a great first shot, hopefully the designer will use the feedback received for some constructive changes.

Do you guys have any in the shop right now? I wouldn't mind stopping by to take a look and take some pictures, maybe -- if possible -- try to mount them on my car to show people what they look like.

I like Altima's, Especially the SE-R, however for every one Max there are 20 Altima's and I like staying within my class. The tails chrome look are an Altima signature so it's something I prefer to stay away from. Not hating, just not me...
