Does anyone know the temp of a 9012 bulb?
The Reason I ask is because I tried to do a "plug and play" (yeah right) HID kit which i messed up a little and is now for sale in the for sale section (cheap plug).
Any way I came upon these lights that are 3800k and fit the 9012 platform and wonder if they are brighter than my stocks. I want the white/blue look but have had my fill with the hid kit experience.
Just scroll down to the bottom they are the HB4 bulbs.
HB4 Bulb
Thanks
Chris

Read the site a bit and it looks like those will be brighter but wont last long.
What they are doing is "overclocking" the lightbulb, which makes it run hotter than a normal bulb while producing greater output/whiter light. But the thing that makes any lightbulb burn out, is the filament vaporizing from continual use. That is why bulbs are stuffed with inert noble gasses like halogen, xenon, etc. because the inert nature of these gasses allows the bulb maker to raise the ambient pressure around the filament to help slow the evaporation of the filment.
