Shifter ****

Has anyone found a good looking auto transmission shift ****? My **** somehow had a clip inside break so I am in need of a new one. The dealership said that a replacement was $80 - kind of steep for a simple shift **** in my opinion.

By the way if anyone has added an aftermarket know and still has their old one and would be interested in getting rid of it please let me know.

Thanks

My clip broke as well, I went with this Momo ****.
(I also cut the shifter down a bit, it sat way too high)

It matches the interior perfectly, aluminium with perfed blk leather...

Thanks - love your set up inside by the way. I have been thinking of swapping out my silver chromes facing with the wood grain. I have a silver 04 maxima se with black leather interior just like yours. The chrome seems to scrtach very easy.

By the way - how hard was it to moove your main control screen down to the bottom? I have really been wanting to do something like that.

Thanks again.

I have grown to like the wood grain, at first I wasn't sure...
The screen move is really easy, I did mine myself. The lower screen fits in there perfectly, the wire stretch is tight but it reaches...as for the upper the screen fits perfectly in there as well, no problems!

Love that shifter ****, I am having a problem with mine, and I can't seem to get it tight anymore. How easy or hard was it to cut the shifter down and what did you use? It makes perfect since to have it that way.

That's what mine did...I used a hacksaw, it went pretty easy.

I switched out my auto **** for the Momo Chrome Stealth Airmetal one with matching pedals. The factory shift **** was loose when I bought the Max and the clips broke when I switched it out. I've been really happy with the ****, it's solid and seems to add to the interior look. However, it may be a little more than you were wanting to spend. I didn't feel the need to cut mine down because I'm fairly tall and like to keep my hand on the ****, especially for the manual mode.....Regardless, good luck with whatever you decide. A sweet site to look for MOMO ***** for autos is ltbmotorsports.com. Check it out...........

Mine was loose too and I had a post on a quick fix on it a few months ago. Basically the groove that the Ohm clip is supposed to sit in is cut too high on the shifter stalk. I marked where it should be, @ 1/4 inch lower, and made new grooves with a hacksaw. Total time was about 15 minutes and I didn't have to buy a new ****. I like the OEM ****, the leather and shape is perfect for me.
