Possible Tranny Issue?

My auto 04' has only 8,000 K miles and transmission seemed to be slipping around 25-30 miles per hour. I took my max to the dealership and they told me it has a bad tranny and they were going to replace it under warranty. A week later the dealership called me and told me that the tranny was replaced and problem still existed and that they were still investigating the issue. Has anyone here had similar problems or know what the problem may be?

I had a similar issue with a different car, they changed all different things and nothing worked. Finnally they figured out it was some kind of fouled plug of somesort in the tranny.

Ok guys....Since my last post above, I still did not get my car back and dealership has replaced the transmission two times in four weeks. Anyone know of the possibilities on a lemon law or legal action that I may pursue on the subject?

Thanks

don't know much, but I would think that after the 2nd one (absolutely a 3rd one) a mechanic would look at other sources for the problem.

I posted the TSB no to your problem. If you let this probelm continue, you will end up with no reverse and your 2nd gear will slip.

I had a similar problem with a Ford Contour. Sometimes when it would "slip" it was as if something put the car in neutral. The period of the slip could very. Almost killed on the highway a couple times when it happened. It took several trips to dealer. The last time they were able to read the codes out of the computer and determine it was a cheap sensor that caused all the problems. I don't know why they were not able to read out the codes on the earlier visits. At least your dealer can duplicate the problem.
