Cold start?

I was reading through my manual and it says on cold days to let the car run for about 30 seconds then drive of but do it slowly until the the car warms up. I was wonedring do any of you guys take of that fast? I dont like the way my car feels when I tried it. I maybe old school on that but I like my car to warm up before driving. I know a remote strter will solve that part but for those how don't tell me what you. I was 18 degrees this morning I coudn't just drve off.

The theory is that you will heat the engine (and the oil) faster if you carefully drive the car after 30 seconds. Nissan believes that this will prevent engine wear as it gets heat into the oil faster, thus lubricating the internal components faster.

I have used this method for 20 years and have never had any engine problems.
