Yes thats the cleanest one but in carbon fiber. Great job gtr rider . Needs some raised scoops from your two openings though.

That last one is hot. I'd take that in a heart beat assuming the price was right and i had some extra cash laying around. As much as I love CF, not sure how it would look on a dark blue car so i'll pass on that option.

The 4th gen is made by Carbon EFX, not sure if thats who is creating this one but the 4th gen hood is made from an exhisting mold.
This will be a new design and new mold, a whole new product.
Im sure this hood will be slightly higher unless the demand for them is great and they have lots of orders for them before hand.
A great demand for them with prefilled orders would allow them do sell in large quanitties and may allow them to lower the price for them.

I would have to say that I actually like the last one alot! I dont have a 6th gen but it flows well. Keep the vents and Id say it would look good on either carbon or painted non carbon fiber hoods.

I actually really like the new hood design. It's conservative overall for a hood scoop, but agressive enough for a prestigous car like the max. Is the scoop functional with any engine mods?

I like the last pic by gtr rider but I think you should add a functional hood scoop to the front that is small like the neon srt4: http://www.carbonbydesign.com/prodde...=SRT4%5F10hood or with no side slots and just a small scoop: http://www.carbonbydesign.com/prodde...on%5Fcf%5Fhood .

So you guys tell me if I'm on crack but I was looking at my friend's M3 and he had the CF hood, but he painted most of it body color but left a section in the center carbon fiber, his car is dark blue so it pretty subtle, I wonder if this would look too crazy on my silver. Just want to be a bit different and I'm not sure I'd like all CF.

I did a quick photoshop:

Do you have any pictures of it? I've seen people who paint half and it usually looks preetty good. I just want to see a darker blue with cf.

I say make the strip that you chopped CF run all the way from the top to the bottom and see how that looks. Not bad though..

the strip where it is not painted needs to go all the way to the front of the hood then that would look good.

I like the hood too, but i still think it would look better if the hood would cover up part of the headlight, like the ones i posted earlier.. REDLINE, please make a hood that can do this.. I really think it sets off our car. I have a pic of what it would look like, but having troubles with posting at putfile.com.. ARG!!

something like this jSMITH http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...LD:en%26sa%3DG The paint should start outside the grooves and let the carbon start from the top. In my opinion though you should not paint the hood and leave it carbon straight up. let me know what you think.

Interesting, I could leave it all CF but I like the attention to detail...and adding some paint in the mix I think adds a nice finishing touch.

that looks good or start the paint between the air pockets and where the groove is.

Last pic looks good, maybe curve it some to match the lines of the hood and the vents.
