Pics of model of STi roof spoiler

I made a model of the STi roof spoiler out of cardboard and styrofoam to see how it would look on the 6th gen max. I painted it to get as close as I could to what it would look like. The cardboard took the paint fine, but the styro didnt. ANyway, here are a few pics. WHat do you think?

With craftsmanship like that don't look for a call from This Old House.

But from a style standpoint I think it looks better than the Subaru one you liked, that one is way too big for the Max. This one is small and thin and looks like the Sarona but lifted off of the glass to give a little more athletic stance. I think this could be a seller if someone would make it.

Wow you must have a lot of time on your hands. I have to say, I really dont think it would look right. One WRX spoiler is enough.

I think it is a little too busy for the back but it's just my opinion. I'm all about creating a clean look.

Hey Frost: Good question. The spray tint got cloudy and faded AGAIN. This weekend, Im driving down to Batmobile who sells custom overlays and Im going to get film tint. Ill show pics when I put them on. I think it will be MUCH better. Looknig forward to getting it done right.

Awesome Deus, make sure you get them as dark as they were before cuz that was hot looking, but in regard to the spoiler if it was a little closer to the roof it would flow better.

I kinda figured I'd take a beating on this, and its ok. Here is a picture of a 2002 BMW M3 Hamann that depicts the look that Im looking for in my car, except not quite as aggressive.

If you guys don't think this is one smokin Bimmer, we are on different wavelengths. Anyway, keep the comments coming, good or bad.

I found out the 3 series roof spoiler is too narrow. Here is a pic of the 5 series Hamann roof spoiler:

I have seen that, but I want something a bit more aggressive, just like the black 5 series pictured above.

A little OT:
The black Street Scenes max has the chrome roof and window trim painted black to match. http://myweb.cableone.net/carcster88/Spoilers.html We talked about this before when we talked about Bluebat making overlays for them, I think it looks really good. Ok, now, back to the rear window wing discussion.

if you want a spoiler to actually cause enough downforce to improve your traction you'd have to be going faster than 100mph if not more (if you want downforce you need a wing turned upside down ).(speed needed varies with the size of the wing) actually a spoiler its supposed to be small and its only supposed to help with aerodynamics,... wind drag. they get rid of any air vortex that creates behind your car. (reduces an air votex) .
in any case by adding that wing or spoiler(its in between the two)in your car you might even be screwing up its aerodynamics, (the one in the back is big enough and it looks good), so i think that if you do it, it would only be for looks
also if you added you are taking all the wind out of the big one, making it useless

If you want my opinion i think that it's a lil bit too much. One spoiler is more than enough and if you really want to get the wrx style roof spoiler then I'd take the trunk one off. 6th gen rear ends are really beefed up as is no need to put more stuff up there.
