Tinted side/front amber reflector
I drove down to San Diego and met Andy (Bluebatmobile) for some tail light tint and he showed me tint for the amber reflectors on the side of the headlights. They are 30% tint and in person they look like darkened amber, very sharp looking, especially with the blackened headlight chrome. I put one on and took pics. Love em. How do you guys like these?

Tint goes on the outside. The spray tint doesnt last, in my experience. I used model car tint for my tails and Im unhappy with the long term results. I am trying to apply the film to the tails as we speak, but Im not having any success getting the tint to curve around the lense. I may have to take it to a tint place, darn it.

It's very easy to make the curve on the lens with the tint if you use a hair dryer. The film will become more elastic and then you just push it in place. Easiest way: you clean the taillight, then use soap to put it in place(just a little bit) and then use the hair dryer to get rid of any imperfection.

I guess I could just trace the shape of the sidemarker on paper. Clean it up. Cut a test piece and if it fits, drop it off at a vinyl place and they can bust off one and a mirror image for the other side. Should be relatively easy. Then sell them on ebay for $40/pair with $20 shipping.

The tailight tint film is a difficult process. Andy from bluebatmobile and his friend at custom graphix in SD did mine for me. Took them along time to get them right but I am REALLY happy with the results.
Good stuff Dues on the side markers.
