Heated Seats and battery life...
Have you guys ever experienced leaving your heated switch "on" for some time with the engine turned off? I have... I was just wondering if it would affect my battery charge or something... Thanks for whatever answers you guys may give.

Only exception is head/body lights which will set off a tone in your ride if you get out with them on. I'm not totally sure the Max has it since I have never done it, however, my SUV has a battery safety feature that if you leave on anything that causes the battery to drain, the vehicle will cut power to it automatically so your battery will not go dead.
IMO, This is a good wife safety feature...

If you are saying will leaving the seat heater on after the engine is off could drain your battery the answer would be no. It does state in the manual however to turn the seat heater for whatever reason. The seat heater comes on when you get to acc point. Even if you leave your lights on the car is equipped with battery rundown protection. It's supposed to turn off the lights if it detects that the battery is close to discharging. I don't no if it works because I have heard people talk about there batteries dying but I don't recall the reasons. You should be okay though. Just like the guys said.

I've left my dome light on over night a couple times. Never had too much of a problem starting it in the morning. Turned over slower than usual but it did start. Most likely due to that rundown protection feature.

joemax1 - Even if you leave the heated seat switch on, the electricity to the seat heater goes completely off the minute you turn off the ignition.
Not only is this stated in the Owner's Manual, but you can verify it by leaving the switch on overnight, then open the car door and put your hand on the seat; it will be cold.
Of course, if the switch was left on, the minute you turn on the ignition to 'accessory' or above, the seats will begin to heat up again.

passenger side heated seat did kill battery
I went on vacation for 7 days and when I returned my 4 month old battery in my 2009 was deader than dead. Only thing I saw was the passenger side seat switch was in the on position. The manual tells you to make sure it is turned off for a reason. I think it's a suck design if that's the case.
