Thanks for the complement man. You're white looks pretty clean as well, and for my car, I still need to get that bumper fixed. (scratches on the back)

I found out something weird about my 04 Max. My car is an SE Red 6sp with everything and I mean everything SAT, Leather, Bose, Navigator,Console seats in back, heated etc. Well, when I went to the dealership for an oil change( I get them free for life of the car) when my VIN number was looked up the description read that I had cloth seats and regular stereo etc. Confused as hell. The number does match but description doesn't. The dealer says I have a "gift car". What????? I called Nissan of America and they don't have a clue.

Did you have to PAY for those upgrades or did they finance the cheaper setup for you based on the VIN number. Do you still have the window sticker?

I went to a dealer before I bought my car. I told them that I wanted leather. They said they could put it in the car for me. I guess they were going to swap for another car. I told them no and give me the sl.

Well, here's how it went. In late 2003 My husband wanted an Altima. We liked it at first but I wanted to test drive the Maxima too. When I did I fell in love. My husband was set on the Altima because of the price. I told him okay. As we were walking out of the lot I saw the red Maxima and went crazy. The dealer showed it to me and it had everything. At the time I didn't really know about the different packages for the Maxima. I just know everything was on it and in it. I took it for a quick spin and said I was not leaving without it. The sticker price was 31 and it didn't list everything just the basics, which I thought was strange because of course more than basic was in it. The dealer told me that the car was a gift car. Something they received for selling the most cars at that area. It only had 29 miles on it. I do remember him telling me that some packages weren't supposed to be on it since it was manual 6sp. I got the car in less than 1 hour and have been happy with it since. When I talked to Nissan of America again today they are telling me that the options would have had to be put on after the car was purchased but no such thing was done. Crazy huh, no one gives me any answers to this.

Yessss. 55K+ miles and asking $28,988. I would love to see my '05 elite hold that kinda value. Opps, I forgot I don't have the radient ember exterior!

I actually went to look at that car. The driver side window will barely go down because of a dried out weather strip. Also, the door latches were not even smooth. There are quite a few scratches on the rear console, and it does not have navigation.

The car had a Stillen intake which the sales person tried to sell it as a "FACTORY PEFORMANCE PACKAGE" which puts out over 300 BHP FACTORY. I secretly laughed at his claim, and didn't even drive the vehicle due to the relatively poor condition and a ridiculously high price for what it was.

The $28,988 is in Canadian dollars too, which is about $25,000 US, and it still isn't bad value for us

LOL...I haven't gotten a chance to clean out the inside under the hood just yet. It is still pretty cold up there, and the one day it was warm out, the sun was already setting by the time I finished my quick wash.

When it gets warm enough out, I'll definitely do a complete detailing of the car, and put some touch up paint on the bumper. I don't think repainting the entire bumper is a good idea, I'd like to keep the factory paint on this car if possible.

It really drives like a beauty though. Perfectly smooth, dead quiet engine and ride. It has a very subtle shimmy at 60MPH, but it really doesn't bother me that much.

Cheers!!

Ming
